By far one of the most professional people I have dealt with. He and his helper came in and got the job done quickly and took great care with my belongings. Watching him load my stuff in the truck was like watching someone play Tetris. When he pulled up I was thinking he'd have to make 2 trips, but he got everything in with a little bit of room to spare, when he could have easily made two trips and charged for another hour.
I found Rick to be honest and reliable and would definitely recommend him for all your moving needs. He also does clean outs for evictions, will load your truck if you're moving yourself or if you're rolling in he will unload your belongings into your new space.
Broke my TV and doesn't have insurance! Do not use!
Whatever you do, don’t use this company for your move. You will regret it. Let me tell you about my experience. I’m filing a lawsuit against the owner, Rick Romohr.
1- HE BROKE MY PLASMA SCREEN TV and he is not making efforts to replace it. He lied and said he had insurance, but after I did some research, I found out that he has NO INSURANCE. After telling my parents and I he’d replace the TV, he began this cat and mouse game. He won’t answer text messages or phone calls. Wait…he did answer once to lie and tell me he had insurance. Ya’ll, the dude had SafeMove insurance on the Uhaul truck that which care of damage that may occur to the truck - not to items broken in the move.
2- HE LOST ITEMS in the move. When I called him to ask him where the items were, he said (and I quote) “They should show up somewhere.” WTH! The items still haven’t “showed up somewhere.”
3- HE RIPPED MY COUCH in 2 areas. I have to get an upholstery person to come fix the rips.
4- HE DIDN’T PICK UP THE UHAUL TRUCK I HAD RESERVED (he said I can reserve the truck or he can and he’d pick it up). On the day of the move, Rick Romohr was supposed to pick up a 26 ft Uhaul truck at 8:00 am from a Uhaul store. Around 8:30 or so, a rep from Uhaul called to ask me if I still planned on picking up the truck; Rick hadn’t showed up. I called Rick and he said that he wasn’t going to to pick up that Uhaul truck because he found one closer to where he lived. He also said he was waiting on his helpers to show up. I asked him why he didn’t communicate this with me and he just said that he was sorry. We had spoken about the move on 4-5 occasions prior to the move. He knew EXACTLY what he agreed to and was supposed to do.
5- HE SHOWED UP 3.5 HOURS LATE! WITHOUT THAT HELP HE WAS WAITING ON; he did have one helper with him named Keegan. Rick didn’t show up for my move until around 11:30 am - 3.5 hrs late! He was DRIVING A 15 FT TRUCK; I was very frustrated at him for getting a smaller truck when I had reserved at larger truck. Because he got a smaller truck, he had to make 3 trips (from the home I was moving from, to the home I was moving to). A move that would’ve normally been 4 hours ended up being 5 hours!
6- HE BROUGHT HIS TODDLER SON WITH HIM who of which kept running in and out of my new home. I had to tell him to leave stuff alone while his dad was working. At one point, the little boy had climbed on a top shelf in the truck and almost fell to the bed of the truck.
This move has ended up costing me way more than what it would’ve been if I just wouldv’e went with a more reputable company. My dad saw this moving company on Facebook and he told me to give the guy a shot because he was an military veteran and appeared to be Christian based company.
If you want to see text messages and more pics, etc. please feel free to inbox me on my page. I’m also filing a claim with the BBB.
